What We Do

At the Center for Children's Rights, we're committed to a future where every teen at risk of or involved in the juvenile justice system finds a pathway to success. Through our continuum of support, we champion resilient youth to transform their lives and communities. We promote the rights, well-being and assets of teens and families to foster a future where youth and teens are the architects of their own well-being and community change.

We offer a continuum of restorative practices, including community-building circles and responsive circles, to support positive relationships and nonviolent conflict resolution. Creating Connection Through Youth Engagement & Action

We offer a hub for radical belonging:  where every young person, especially those from persistently stressful environments, has the opportunity to lead with their unique experiences. Through the State of Young People Collective and youth participatory action and research projects, we  provide a platform for teens to influence policy and implement community-based solutions for a just future.

Resilience Through Restorative Response To Challenges

Our holistic approach supports resilient teens living in environments of persistent traumatic stress to build from their assets, learn strategies for well-being, and overcome barriers to possibility. Through resilience navigation and support from educational empowerment coordination, we assist teens in building safety, dignity, and belonging for themselves and their communities.
